Honor Wall Information
The Oshkosh High/West Alumni Veterans Honor Wall is a
located between the two cafeterias at Oshkosh West High School. The Honor Wall
pays tribute to those who sacrificed their time and life to protect the
freedoms we have here in Oshkosh, WI as well as the United States of America.
Each veterans name is engraved on a plate and attached to the wall that
memorializes their service. Many of these veterans were never welcomed home in
an appropriate manner and thanked for what they gave up. That is why, today, we
welcome all our veterans home and thank them for their service to our country
and Oshkosh, WI. Oshkosh High and Oshkosh West are proud of you and how you
represented our school and community. A website has been created as a digital memorial for the world to see. All the names that are engraved on the Veterans Honor Wall at Oshkosh West High School can be found on the digital Veterans Honor Wall.
Help Nominate a Veteran
We Need Your Help! Oshkosh High/West does not have many
records that show who served our country. The veterans who are currently on the
Veterans Honor Wall have been nominated by their family and friends. If you
know anyone who graduated from Oshkosh High School or Oshkosh West High School
who served our country in one of the branches of the armed services please fill
out the nomination form so
proper tribute can be made.
Please contact Social Studies teacher Mr. Andrew Schaller if you have any questions, know of anyone who would be willing to help or provide a tax deductible donation to the project at andrew.schaller@oshkosh.k12.wi.us or (920) 424-4090 ext. 3279. Thank you!
