Bemis moves headquarters to WI

Bemis has announced it will move its HQ from Minneapolis to Neenah. Since they have most of their plants in Oshkosh, and none in Neenah(as far as I know), why wouldnt they move to Oshkosh? The story said it wouldnt affect a lot of people in Minneapolis. But wouldnt it have been a coup to say "Bemis headquarters in Oshkosh, WI" Did we court them to relocate in Oshkosh? Being such a large employer in Oshkosh, it just seems a little strange to put HQ in Neenah.

What does Oshkosh have to offer? Have you taken a look at our infrastructure lately? Besides, until we have a regional business plan, cities will continue to compete and prostitute themselves to the lowest bidder. Guess who looses. K Monte is lauding the new Lowes moving into town, with its 7 to 9 dollar an hour no insurance jobs. Our illustrious mayor wrote –and I paraphrase- Oshkosh is loosing its industrial base and the new industry will be tourism. Ok, jobs that will create no one can support a family. Don’t you people see what is happening?

FMC,

What does Oshkosh have to offer Bemis as there headquarters? Well, how about the fact that the majority of there production facilities are in Oshkosh. Obviously, our infrastructure is adequate for that, then how come not headquarters?
