Backyard Chicken Ordinance Goes Into Effect Today, July 1
The city of Oshkosh would like to remind residents that the city’s new backyard chicken ordinance becomes effective July 1, 2011. The Oshkosh Common Council passed resolution 11-139 on March 22, 2011 allowing backyard chickens in some areas of city.

A review of license applications requires a one to two day turnaround. The licensing fee is $10.00.
