Oshkosh Saturday Farmers Market Sprouts Winter Market

Opening Day on Saturday, November 3

The Oshkosh Saturday Farmers Market Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of a winter farmers market for 2012 – 2013 in response to the community’s demand for locally grown food and handmade products beyond the summer season.

The “Winter Market,” will run the 1^st, 3^rd, and 5^th Saturdays from November through April at City Center, 2 Jackson Street, at the Becket’s Atrium, in downtown Oshkosh. Hours are 9am to 1pm.

Approximately 30 vendors, many from the Summer Market, will attend each market Saturday. Visitors can expect local fresh produce, some grown in green houses and on hydroponic farms, as well as canned foods, locally raised meats, chickens, and turkeys, eggs, cheeses, honey, delicious artisan foods, and handmade jewelry and crafts.

There will be live music sponsored by the UW Oshkosh Credit Union every market Saturday.  And themed events such as Kid’s Day, Health & Fitness, and Winter Is for the Birds will make the Winter Market, the perfect place to escape cabin fever.
