Annual Walk for the Animals Only a Few Weeks Away
On the latest episode of Eye on Oshkosh, host Cheryl Hentz chats with Cheryl Rosenthal and Cari Tetzlaff from the Oshkosh Area Humane Society (OAHS) about their upcoming Walk for the Animals on Saturday, Sept. 14 Rain or Shine. They explain why this walk is so important and how animals and the people who love them are cared for by the money raised from this annual walk, now in its approximately 25th or 26th year, or thereabouts.
They also talk about the shelter’s new Behavior Department that they have created to help people overcome behavior issues their pet may be having, so they can “fix” them rather than the people feeling like they need to surrender their pets. Lots of other issues were discussed during the hour. This is one show you won’t want to miss.
Thanks to the shelter for giving us the time they always do. They have a ton of helpful information and are a leading resource in the area – whether someone has adopted a pet from them or is having trouble with an animal in some other sense.
