OSHKOSH AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT CONDUCTS FIRST PARENT INFORMATIONAL MEETING ON THE “LEARNING WITHOUT LIMITS” 1 TO 1 INITIATIVE

The Oshkosh Area School District will be inviting parents of students who will be in grades 9 through 12 for the 15-16 school year to participate in a parent information night. The focus of this evening will be to provide parents with updated information and answer questions about the district “Learning without Limits” initiative. This initiative, approved by voters in April 2014, will provide students in grades 9-12 with inexpensive, yet powerful, Chromebooks. These devices will provide students with access to important information and give them the ability to participate in 21st century learning activities.
The meeting will be held in the Alberta Kimball Auditorium and start at 6pm on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. Dr. David Gundlach, Deputy Superintendent and some of the district technology integration coaches will be presenting on the following items:

Learning without Limits Presentation
• Welcome by Oshkosh West and North Principals
• Alignment with community and board focus
• Why this project is so important for student success
• How the district has prepared for this
• Parent/Student Handbook overview
• FAQ's

For those parents who cannot attend this meeting a second opportunity will be provided in August and announced in the near future.
