Father Carr's and Lourde's Academy spotlighted on recent Eye on Oshkosh
In this edition of Eye on Oshkosh, host Cheryl Hentz spends
most of the hour talking with Jim Boehm, the new executive director of Father
Carr's Place to Be. He shares with the audience how he first came to Father
Carr's as a volunteer and how his first night there as a volunteer - quite
literally - changed his life. He also talks about the many things Father Carr’s
offers to people in need within the community. You’ll learn, too, how people
can get involved with Father Carr’s, especially as the holidays draw near.
In the latter part of the show, Karen Boehm (Jim’s wife)
talks about the recent addition and renovations to Lourde’s Academy and the
role she played in the capital campaign and their raising $10 million
(including initial "seed" money, if you will of $1.5 million) between
December 30, 2020 and the time they opened their doors on August 23, 2022 for
the 2022-2023 academic year. This couple is clearly committed to their
community and give of themselves whenever and wherever possible. You can see the
